So even if we loved Sabang we thought we have to see something new so we desided to go to el Nido which is the most touristic part of this Island in hope for making resort movies/Yoga. We went with our rented motorbikes. Strapped our big backpacks on the bike made a prayer and hit the road.

Carlos getting ready with our dear motorbikes :)

The locals we asked said it would take us around 8 hours drive to get from Sabang to El Nido. The idea was to start early but as always we didn’t get away until 12. We started the journey through a magnificent landscape it really feelt like you were travelling through The garden of Eden. Everything was so peaceful and in harmony. People working in the ricefeild using their ox and bare hands, children playing, hens with her chickens picking on the ground lazy waterbuffalos resting in the shadows… And everywhere we drive children say “Hello! What’s your name?!” But it was not all a dance on roses, it took a lot longer than we expected and by the time sun started to set after 5 hours drive we were only halfway.

Ricefields and harmony sorry the pictures are a bit shitty but I took them from the motorbike...

So we decided to spend the night in Tay Tay on our way. Didn’t really expect that after Roxas (the 2nd big city in Palawan) the civilization just stopped and we drove in the sunset in one of the most beautiful roads I ever seen in the deep heart of the rain forest, Imagine in the Lion King, you know when Pumpa and Timone is showing their home in the jungle, just like that… Rivers, big trees mountines and jungle sounds everywhere. Crazy beautiful but when it started to get really dark it wasen’t so fun anymore. Felt super scared cause the roads where not the best and sometimes people where walking in the dark ofcourse without any reflex.
But finally we reached Tay tay that looked like it had an epedemia of Tiger deaf or something.. NO lights in the whole village just candles in the shop kind of cosy but also a bit ghosty hehe. The day after we continued our road this time they said it would take 2 hours but we actually spend 4 hours driving… And not on real roads actually really bumby dirtroads and I can’t describe how much my ass hurted after wards… But we arrived finally and checked out El Nido town which was a huge disappointment, here we have been driving all thoose hours for something that was like phi phi island?? Stinking small streets concrete buildings.. Tourists… urrk… BUT as always if you look a little futher there is soulution so we found a perfect bungalow just on the beach for just 500 pesos (8 euros) and I was doing yoga in the sunset, with all the fisherman kids, around 20 (!) Looking very fascinated on me wondering what a F*ck I was doing.. . The place is called coron coron and the place we stayed in is called the dreamland bungalows or something like that..
Nice breakfast with Panoramic view over old spanish fortress

But El Nido is a little bit like a onion you have peel of layer by layer until you found the source, and as always travels deepends on what people you meet and we meet some nice people that carlos might work with doing filming on dive trips and also Nives and Co was there. So after all El Nido was a nice experience! And the surroundings is amazing with high sharp cliffs in contrast to white sand, palms and turquoise water…
